Parking Guidance

Car Park Surface Sensors

Surface mounted sensors use magnetic technology to identify occupied car park spaces.

Sensors mounted direct to the car park surface detect the presence of a vehicle. The numbers of available spaces are then displayed on variable message signs.

The information on the signs can be used to direct drivers using the most effective route. This reduces unnecessary circulation and the time taken by drivers to find an empty space.

The car park can be configured in the back office software to allocate spaces to specific user groups. For example Blue Badge or parent and child. Thes spaces can then be identifed separately on the signs to guide drivers with particular needs, more effectively.

Overall the solution improves space rotation, the time taken to find available spaces, parking space occupancy and reduces emmisions from circuiating vehicles. Download the detailed literature here:-
